Day 5: Least Favorite Female Character
I wanted to make this hard, so I decided I had to choose a character that was on the show for at least two seasons (otherwise it would've just been Rona, obviously!). My final choice kind of took me by surprise. Willow was originally my favourite character when I first started watching the show. I've always been a sucker for the underdog. But over the seasons there was this thread of self-centeredness running through the character & her actions that became really hard to ignore - I think a lot of it was tied into her self-esteem issues. By the beginning of season six, I just wasn't a fan anymore. I think one of my favourite parts of season six was Tara standing up to her. Now, I'm not saying I hate Willow (I still have a fair amount of residual love from earlier seasons) - I just do not like a lot of the things she ended up doing.
